When ordering online from the website of the Danish Geotechnical Society, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions given below.

Delivery

All items are sent by “Post Danmark”, the Danish postal service, to the address stated on your order.

It is important that you check the contents of your parcel upon receipt. If the parcel and/or the contents are damaged upon arrival, please return it immediately or within 7 days of receipt. Please inform Post Danmark of the damaged parcel and return it to us. The Danish Geotechnical Society cannot be held responsible for items damaged in transit.

Delivery times

We aim to dispatch all items within 1-2 working days. If for some reason this is not possible, we will contact you.

Dispatch in Denmark

The shipping fee is DKK 49. In general, Post Danmark’s delivery time in Denmark is 2 working days. 

Dispatch abroad

The shipping fee is DKK 69. In general, Post Danmark’s delivery time to Europe is 4-5 working days.

Returns policy

All items are covered by the rules on online returns of the Danish Sale of Goods Act. You always have 14 days to return the items from the date you received it. If you want to return an item, please enclose a copy of your invoice/receipt together with the item(s) returned.

Return the items unused and in the condition received to: The Danish Geotechnical Society, Maglebjergvej 1, DK-2800 Lyngby. Upon receipt and approval of the return (minus postage), we will refund the purchase amount to your account as soon as possible and within 14 days. We will only refund to the credit card used for the purchase.

Claims

All items are covered by the two years warranty rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act. Under the warranty, consumers can complain about faulty items occurred within the two-year warranty period. Warranty does not cover damage due to improper use, lack of maintenance or normal wear and tear. Please contact us at dgf@geo.dk if you want to file a complaint or if your item is defective. Please enclose a copy of your original purchase invoice/receipt when you file a complaint. We do not cover shipping charges in connection with filing of claims. 

Sold out items

Payment

At the website of the Danish Geotechnical Society, you can pay with all major credit cards, such as Dankort, VISA/Dankort, Mastercard, JCB, Maestro and VISA Electron or by invoice sent separately. All prices are in DKK and inclusive of 25% VAT, unless otherwise stated specifically or unless the item is to be dispatched to a non-EU country. For further information, please refer to the section on duty and taxes.

Security

An encrypted SSL-connection (Secure Socket Layer) provides all communication between our payment system and the card holder (Secure Socket Layer). The encryption ensures that no one can monitor or copy the information entered by you. The transmission is approved by Danish Payments Systems Ltd. and ensures you the best possible transaction security. When you are in a safe zone, a little ”Secure Server” icon will display in your browser window. In Internet Explorer and Firefox, this little icon is displayed as a locked padlock. In other words, your payment is in safe hands, and only Danish Payments System Ltd. has access to your data. The Danish Geotechnical Society has also no access to your credit card information. The amount will not be withdrawn from your account until the items are dispatched from our stock. Correspondingly to this, payment for participation in seminars and other events will not be withdrawn from your account until after the seminar/event has been held.

Duty and taxes

If you order from a company or an institution in another EU-country and you provide your VAT No. in connection with your order, you are not to pay duty and VAT, as other EU countries are exempted from duty according to the rules of EU movement of free goods. If you order as a private person within the EU, however, 25% VAT will be added to your order.

If you order from a non-EU country, the item may be detained by the customs authorities, and the parcel may possibly be charged with local taxes and duty which we cannot be held responsible for. Please note that detention of your parcel by the customs authorities may delay the dispatch significantly. If you become aware that your parcel has been detained, please contact Post Danmark as soon as possible.

Consumer protection

The Danish Geotechnical Society complies with all rules and laws required by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority.

We are not responsible for price errors, misprints and sold out items

If you have chosen to pay by credit card, your purchase will not be accepted completely until we have received your payment and dispatched the item to you. In this regard, we are not responsible for price errors, misprints and sold out items. If an item ordered by you is sold out, we will contact you immediately - and your payment will be refunded.
